The Kitchen Unit offers opportunities for those members who have specific passions for or interests in gaining culinary skills such as food preparation, menu planning, serving, waiting tables, and janitorial work.
The Kitchen Unit strongly emphasizes health and wellness concerns such as nutritional awareness and exercise. Members sit side by side with staff to design weekly menus and have the opportunity to co-lead cooking and baking classes. The Kitchen Unit also provides a daily morning snack bar which offers a variety of breakfast items. Lunch is served at 12 pm daily for low and affordable prices subsidized by Our Place Clubhouse.
